But why do we still take pictures when we are constantly overbrimmed with unecessary images? Furthermore, where does this urgency to produce images come from? These photographs reflect the urgency to produce images even when images are not needed. While many a times the photographer can't explicate the urge, - at least in a way non-photographers would understand - for a photographer, it is impossible not to make images, for that is the sole purpose of their existence. All of these imgages were produced during the dire times Lebanon was going through, from the "revolution" in 2019, the socio-economic colapse, the Beirut Port explosion and lockdown. |
