Underpinned within this photographic exploration is a dialectical tension between superficial allure and deeper contemplative engagement. While the images serve as visual confections, tantalizing the senses with their aesthetic appeal, they simultaneously beckon viewers to delve into the intricacies of their construction. Through a synthesis of form and meaning, the photographs aspire to transcend their status as mere objects of beauty, assuming a more profound ontological significance.

Of particular note is the conscientious sourcing of props and backdrops, gathered from a diverse array of locales including sunday markets, discarded scraps of upholstery, and junk yards. This scrupulous adherence to the principles of "wabi-sabi" underscores the project's commitment to valuing the inherent beauty latent within the overlooked and the ephemeral.

All of the photographs in this series were created using large format analog photography and printed using over 12 different techniques. These range from the more common c-print and black and white print to the intricate platinum palladium, salt prints, gum dichromates, "in camera" direct positive prints, and hand-made, hand-coated photographic emulsions.

Initiated in February 2023, the project is conceived as a temporal odyssey spanning the course of eighteen months, thereby encapsulating the cyclical rhythms of nature across all four seasons. Focused specifically on the Lebanese floral abundance, both wild and cultivated, the project endeavors to document the fleeting beauty inherent in the country’s botanical realm.
